Marthe Ouellette was born in Montreal and is now well established in Shefford in the Eastern Townships. She attended the School of Fine Arts in Montreal before continuing in Landscape Architecture.
Having always been passionate about the arts, she chose to devote herself fully to painting, eager to fulfill herself and invest herself in this art.. Her works are found in galleries and she participates in numerous exhibitions.
She has received several honorable mentions and her paintings can be found in several private and public collections.
Over the years, she has explored several mediums. Attracted by the play of light, she has experimented with oil, acrylic, watercolour, grisaille and fused glass. The latter gave her inspiration to develop canvases that perfectly reflect the luminosity and the reaction of the colors between them.
Inspiration comes to her from nature and her many travels. She likes the seaside, sailboats, small villages that she carries in her imagination.
His creative impulse begins by drawing his subject. Which she then paints on canvas with sometimes improvised and spontaneous shapes, colors and grouts.
All these alliances allow the public to view unique works in an atmosphere that influences energy, cheerfulness and good humor.
My passion is to bring art to life, to make it resonate deeply within each person and awaken emotions. Each work is meticulously crafted to be a voice, a guardian of time, memories, precious moments and emotions.
Her artistic approach shines through vibrant colors and luminous compositions, establishing herself in perfect harmony with nature. She draws her inspiration from the emotions aroused by the images she perceives, those forged by the memories that bind her to it.
